Unsettled and cool weather continues in the next few days. High pressure begins to have more influence this weekend and next week it could turn dry and very warm.
Wednesday starts wet in much of England and Wales, but central and south eastern areas are drier. Through the course of the day the rain gradually edges northwards. This afternoon a few bright spells could develop in southern England but rain continues in the west. Scotland should stay mostly dry with sunny spells in the north.
Temperatures will be below par ranging from about 11C (52F) in the north to 17C (63F) in the south. See the rainfall radar for the latest.
Tonight heavy rain spreads eastwards across Scotland. Western and south western Britain have a wet night too but elsewhere it should be dry.
Tomorrow rain affects the north and west of the UK. Central and eastern England have dry periods and a few brighter spells are likely. It remains cool for late June.
During Friday wet weather pushes southeastwards and clearer conditions follow from the northwest. A band of rain pushes southeastwards this weekend, but it becomes patchy and quite a lot of dry weather is expected. Buzz takes a look at the mid term prospects.
