Southern areas can expect more fine and warm weather in the coming days. Elsewhere it remains more mixed.
Tuesday begins with variable amounts of cloud and showery rain in central and western Britain. Through the rest of the day sunny spells develop but scattered showers are likely in central and northern areas. In the north west thicker cloud brings more persistent of rain and this gradually edges southeastwards.
Temperatures range from about 15C (59F) in the north west to 22C (72F) in the south east. See the rainfall radar and UK weather report map for the latest.
Tonight wet weather affects parts of Scotland. The rest of the country will be dry with clear periods.
Tomorrow rain continues in the north west. In other regions it stays dry and sunny spells develop. It will be warm and in the south temperatures could hit 28C (82F).
During Thursday a band of cloud and patchy rain pushes eastwards. Cooler and showery conditions follow into the north, but the south east and East Anglia have more warm and sunny weather.
Friday and the weekend are set to be mostly fine in the south and temperatures will be rising again. The north keeps more changeable conditions with a risk of showers or longer spells of rain. Buzz looks at the heat which is building over southern Europe.
