Windy and showery

[Updated 7:15 11/06/2017]

Heavy shower

Southern areas have a good deal of dry weather in the coming days. In the north it remains more unsettled.

Sunday is off to a showery start in the north. In the south east there are patchy outbreaks of rain, but during the morning drier conditions return. Across the north and west showers become frequent, and possibly thundery this afternoon. It will be windy with gale force gusts in the north and west.

Temperatures range from about 14C (57F) in the north west to 22C (72F) in the south east. See the rainfall radar and UK weather report map for the latest.

Tonight blustery showers affect the north west. Elsewhere it will be mostly dry.

Tomorrow showers again develop in the north. In other areas it should be dry with pleasantly warm sunny spells.

Tuesday and Wednesday bring further periods of wet weather to the north. The south remains drier and warmer.

On Thursday a band of patchy rain pushes southeastwards across all regions. Once this clears high pressure builds back in from the southwest to bring more decent weather as we head towards the weekend. Buzz looks ahead to late June.
