Bank Holiday let down

[Updated 08:00 25/05/2017]

Fine weather

Fine weather continues today and tomorrow. The Bank Holiday weekend prospects are less promising as a significant change develops.

Thursday starts fine and very mild across the UK. The rest of the day brings long periods of sunshine. Temperatures should reach 28C (82F) and the warmth will be spread across all regions. Hot spots are expected to be southern and eastern England, and eastern Scotland. Near to the east coast it will be cooler. See the rain radar and UK weather report map for the latest view.

Tonight it stay fine. Despite clear skies it remains warm.

Tomorrow bring more of the same. If anything temperatures edge higher and 30C (86F) could be reached.

Unfortunately things change as we head through the Bank Holiday weekend. On Saturday an area of rain probably pushes northwards in the west, but sunny spells develop behind it. Isolated thunderstorms could break out in the south east. It remains hot in the north and east but turns cooler in the west.

Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday bring some warm sunshine but there is also the likelihood of heavy showery spells of rain pushing up from the south. Buzz looks the mid term outlook. Check the latest weather prospects for the Spring Bank Holiday on May 29th.
