The weekend begins with outbreaks of rain in the south west, but elsewhere it is dry. In Scotland clear spells overnight have led to a frost in places.
Through the day rain continues to affect the south west and it may spread eastwards across southern coastal counties. Elsewhere in the south a few spots of rain are possible, but it should be mainly dry and this afternoon the chance of bright spells increases. Northern regions have a fine and sunny day.
Temperatures range from about 12C (54F) in overcast areas to 18C (64F) in the north west. See the postcode forecasts and rain radar for the latest view.
Tonight it will be mostly dry and quite chilly. In eastern Scotland thicker cloud could bring some light spells of rain.
Tomorrow looks fine in central and western areas. In the north east thicker cloud steadily pushes southwards into eastern England. The west has a pleasantly warm day but it will be chilly in the east.
Monday and Tuesday bring dry and quiet weather. During the middle part of the week a transition to warmer and more unsettled conditions is expected to begin developing. Later on heavy showery outbreaks of rain are possible in the south. Buzz looks ahead to mid May.
