Dry weather continues

[Updated 07:50 05/05/2017]

Fine weather

Friday begins fine across the UK. Locally in Scotland there has been a touch of frost overnight.

This morning sunny spells develop widely. The south is likely to be brighter than in recent days, but during the afternoon cloud amounts will increase. It should remain dry but there is a chance of an odd light shower in the south eastern corner.

Temperatures range from about 12C (54F) in eastern coastal counties to 18C (64F) in the north west. See the postcode forecasts and rain radar for the latest view.

Tonight it stays dry. Clear spells in the north lead to a chilly night with temperatures perhaps dipping below 0C (32F) in frost pockets

Tomorrow northern regions have a fine day, but outbreaks of rain push into the south west and they may extend across southern coastal counties. Most of the wet weather should stay south of London but cloudy skies may spread into central regions. Sunday looks fine in central and western areas. In the north east thicker cloud could bring patchy rain and during the day this may push southwards into eastern England.

Buzz looks ahead to mid May.
