Friday starts dry in most of the UK but there are a few showers dotted around. Overnight there has been a touch of frost locally in the north.
Through the rest of the day scattered showers continue but there will be a good deal of dry weather. Bright spells are likely this morning, but during the afternoon thicker cloud builds across Northern Ireland and western Scotland.
Maximum temperatures range from 10C (52F) in the north to 15C (59F) in the south. See the radar for the latest view.
Tonight clear spells lead to a patchy frost in parts Wales, as well as western and northern England. Elsewhere cloudier skies probably keep it less cold.
Tomorrow there will be sunny spells but isolated showers too. In the afternoon it becomes cloudier in the west. During Saturday night winds strengthen and heavy rain reaches the south west. On Sunday the wet weather pushes northeastwards but there is uncertainty about its rate of progress. The north and east possibly remain dry.
On May Day the wet weather is expected to reach Scotland, and another band of rain could fringe Cornwall and Devon. Buzz looks at mid term outlook.
