Sunday is off to a dry start across most of the UK and locally there has been a frost. In northern Scotland thicker cloud is bringing rain.
The rest of the day stays fine and bright in the southern half of the UK. In the north there will be more cloud, and during the afternoon outbreaks of rain become more widespread in northern and western Scotland.
Temperatures range from a cold 7C (45F) in the north to 16C (61F) in the south. See the radar for the latest view.
Tonight the south remains dry but in the north wet and windy weather spreads southwards. Clear and cold conditions return to Scotland and a frost develops by the end of the night.
Tomorrow patchy outbreaks of rain push into the south. In the north a cold and windy day is expected with wintry showers. At times snow will fall to low levels. Overnight and through Tuesday wintry showers push southwards, and they become heavy at times. It remains cold and showery on Wednesday. Buzz investigates the wintry snap.
During the second half of the week temperatures recover but there is a risk of rain. By the Bank Holiday weekend drier and warmer conditions may return.

The 16 day GEFS shows a cold and showery snap between 25th and 28th April. Temperatures then recover and rain is more likely in the north.
