Easter Monday is off to an overcast start in much of the southern half of the UK. Across the north it's clearer and there been a frost overnight.
Today southern counties have an odd shower, but it will be mostly dry with sunny spells developing. In the north the showers are expected to be more frequent, and over the Scottish hills snow is likely.
Temperatures range from 6C (42F) in northern Scotland to 15C (59F) in the south. See the radar for the latest view.
Tonight under clear periods it will be cold. Across much of the south temperatures probably stay just above freezing point, but in the north values could fall to -5C (23F).
Tomorrow the south has a fine day but eastern counties may have isolated showers. In the north cloud builds after a bright and very cold start. Overnight frost is possible in southern counties, but cloud moving down from the north perhaps restricts this.
Mid-week brings a lot of fine weather. Daytime temperatures pick up but the nights remain chilly. Next weekend cold air could sweep southwards but high pressure returning from the west may cut off the feed. Buzz looks at the short term frost risk.

The 16 day GEFS shows temperatures recovering for a time before taking another dip around 22nd April. The chance of rain increases late in the month.
