High pressure has been the dominant feature of the UK's weather for a lengthy period, but unfortunately it is set to back away a little in the short term. The result will be mixed weather through the Easter period.
This morning there are showers in the north west and they are expected to continue through the day. A few showers could reach central regions too, but the south stays dry. Sunny spells develop at times.
Temperatures will be disappointing, ranging from 7C (45F) in the far north west to 13C (55F) in the south east. See the radar for the latest view.
Tonight wet weather returns in Northern Ireland, western Scotland and north western England. Elsewhere it remains mostly dry, but showers continue in northern Scotland.
Tomorrow rain spreads southeastwards across much of central and northern Britain. The wet conditions may reach parts of the south too. Scotland has a showery day, and during the afternoon clearer conditions return in the north.
Easter Monday looks showery in the north and east, but the west should be dry. It will be cold with a risk of snow over northern hills.
As Easter ends high pressure reasserts itself, so the rest of the week brings a lot of fine weather. Buzz looks at the ongoing possibility of frost.
