The weekend is off to a fine start. It is chilly and overnight there has been quite a widespread frost in rural areas.
This morning sunny periods develop and it quickly warms up. The afternoon will be fine, but across Scotland and Northern Ireland cloud builds. The Grand National at Aintree at 17:15 should be run under blue skies, and conditions look great for an early season barbecue.
Temperatures range from 16C (61F) in Scotland to 21C (70F) in east England. See the radar for the latest view.
Tonight it stays dry. Temperatures won't fall as low as last night, and across the north west there will be more cloud.
Tomorrow showery rain in the north west slowly spreads southeastwards. Central and southeastern England has another glorious day, but elsewhere cloud amounts increase in the afternoon. The north west will be cooler, but in the south and east another very warm day is expected with temperatures possibly reaching 22C (72F).
Early next week it turns more changeable and colder, but southern and central regions probably won't have much rain. In the north showers turn wintry at times and nighttime frosts are likely. The mixed weather continues through the second half of the week. Buzz looks ahead to Easter.
