Sunday is off to a damp start in much of southern and central Britain, as well as Northern Ireland. It's mostly dry in Northern England and Scotland.
This morning rain spreads into western Britain and clears from Northern Ireland. A separate area of wet weather affects central England and through the afternoon it slowly edges eastwards. Elsewhere it should be dry for much of the time and there is an increasing chance of sunny spells in the west.
It will be mild with temperatures this afternoon reaching about 13C (55F) in the east and close to 11C (52F) in the west. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
This evening it becomes dry in much of the country and clear spells lead to quite a chilly night. Late on wet weather returns to Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Tomorrow morning outbreaks of rain in western Scotland turn patchy and fade away. Elsewhere a predominantly dry day is in prospect. There is likely to be quite a lot of cloud, but some brighter spells too, especially in the south west.
During Tuesday and Wednesday a good deal of dry weather is expected, but some patchy rain is likely to in the north and west. It is set to be notably mild or even quite warm, with an outside chance of temperatures reaching 20C (68F) locally in the south.
More unsettled weather probably sinks southwards during the second half of the week bringing a risk of rain to all areas. It remains quite mild in the south but in Scotland it could become colder. Buzz looks at the very mild weather in the next few days.
The 16 day GEFS shows mild and often dry conditions early on. Through the rest of the period it becomes more unsettled and less mild.
