Monday starts wet in the south west and across parts of the north there are showers. Elsewhere it's dry and chilly.
This morning rain continues in the south west and showers affect the north, but elsewhere it's a dry and bright picture. This afternoon showers become more widespread and in the west they may form into a more organised band.
Temperatures range from about 7C (45F) to 10C (50F), and if you catch a shower it will feel cold. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight it becomes mostly dry and clear spells develop. It will be cold with quite a widespread frost.
Tomorrow central and eastern areas remain dry but after a bright start cloud builds. In the west outbreaks of rain push in from the Atlantic during the second half of the day.
Wednesday and Thursday bring unsettled weather. It will turn milder, especially in the southern half of the UK where temperatures could soar to 15C (59F) in brighter spells.
Friday is looking dry and mild in the south. Temperatures could hit 17C (63F)! The north remains changeable and further wet weather is likely.
As we head through the weekend all regions probably have showers or longer spells of rain. The latest guidance from medium range computer models continues to suggest lower temperatures are likely, but the chances of a wintry spell have receded. A Buzz update will be published this morning.
The 16 day GEFS shows a mixed outlook but drier conditions are favoured in the south at times. Temperatures take a dip this weekend and then stay close to the average.
