The weekend begins wet in Scotland and across parts of south eastern England. Elsewhere it is mostly dry.
Today rain to the south of London slowly clears eastwards. Wet weather continues in Scotland and over higher ground snow is likely. Other regions have a good deal of dry weather but during the afternoon showers spread into Wales and western England.
Temperatures range from 3C (36F) in Scotland to 8C (46F) in the south west. See the rainfall radar for the latest view.
Tonight showers continue in the north and west with snow over high ground. Some light rain is also likely in central and eastern England. Elsewhere under clear skies a touch of frost is possible.
Tomorrow the wet weather may be slow to clear from the far south east. In other regions there will be scattered showers but plenty of dry weather too.
Next week starts unsettled. During Monday heavy rain spreads eastwards with showery conditions following on behind. Mid week sees high pressure building over Scandinavia and colder air filtering in from the continent. Eastern districts could see some snow flurries on Thursday and Friday. Next weekend it probably remains cold and dry in southern and central regions, but in the north west milder air from the Atlantic could return. Buzz takes a look.
