As predicted earlier the cloud has melted away south from Edinburgh and the sunshine has helped the temperature up to 21 C in the southern suburbs, feels lovely again with little wind. Third summery day in a row and best spell of weather here since the two spells in March and May

Very strange that it was foggy during the night and at first this morning. Reminds me of spring when the air is warm but the sea is cold generating widespead fog. This soon lifted to sunshine and a high of 23.

I read that Manchester airport had a few diversions this morning. The guidance system they use for fog was switched off for maintenence as they didn't think fog would be a problem in August.

Current Air Temp: 12.1C, we are 4 degrees cooler than the airport at the moment

Current conditions: Mostly clear, I can see shallow mist/fog starting to develop now near the riverside, might be properly foggy again by morning.
