cant seem to copy and paste for some reason. i would agree local bbc tv forecasts dont normally go more than 5 days ahead. however they were talking about the recent heavy rains, and the news presenter asked the weather presenter .. is ther any sign of improvement? she replied .. on the latest met office data there is not much sign of an improvement till the end of the month.

This feels like an exchange for the media thread maybe?

Surprised there's only a warning for Wales and SW England, NAE shows some large totals for the Midlands and northern England too, with some areas exceeding 20mm.

I wouldn't worry about it because it nothing new to me and we get strong winds all year around, even we get very strong winds during settled spells.

Very funny Mr Murr!

I have to mention Carol K this morning. She said Friday would be windy in the south with heavy, slow-moving showers.
Perhaps the showers are moving against the wind?

Shows why they've had another wildfire on Lewis this week - I guess they could really do with some of our southern rain!
