7.5mm to the end of yesterday, very similar to the climate-uk statistic for central England.

That's just under 3/4 of the average for 6 days of May. After today, I'll probably have close to average rainfall; several mm have been collected this morning.

Crikey - look at what's approaching the UK from the SW right now!

It looks like yesterday's Wales-bound feature except it's considerably larger and packing a vicious punch by the look of that line of intense precipitation. Perhaps it's about to turn a bit wild across the far SW?

Rain so far measured in May for Warwick - 45.2mm

Looking at the potential weather system approaching from the SW, this could increase a fair bit. I was hoping to play golf tomorrow afternoon...

Is anyone who was saying "we need the rain" prior to April regretting that now?

I did say be careful what you wish for.

0.0mm at Sydney Obs Hill, totally dry month so far. There has only been one recorded totally dry month at Obs Hill and that was August 1995. Amazing after all the wet weather we have had.

Already people here as suspecting that an El Nino could come calling soon.
