Sir Alex has taken the team away for some golf this weekend to try and take some pressure off the younger players.

Certainly comes across well with City dropping more points and players arguing amongst themselves on the pitch, while united are in Scotland for a spot of golf.
What a dive by the greasy haired pikey. It was so pi$$poor it should have been a straight red for mediocrity.
Newcastle 1-0 up!
Not a good outcome. Need the bindippers to win this one.
Gotta love seeing Liverpool struggle
King Kenny, not even worthy of a prince (on the basis of his 2nd managerial stint)
Carroll and Henderson for £55m don't really need to elaborate much more on that.
All these Liverpool fans living in the past to try and get success, they won't win any trophies anytime soon.
And no, I don't count the carling cup as a trophy

Well what a shower of shite that was.
Liverpool were woeful - no pace on the counter attack.
As for Reina, if you're going to use your head to contact someone else's, make sure you nut him properly. Reina had to go, despite hardly touching Perch (rules of the game blah blah blah). As for Perch, he should have gone for blatant playacting. He went down like a sack of spuds.
To all Liverpool fans on here - the 'dynamic duo' of 'Queen' Kenny and Mr 666, are ruining your club. If you can't see that, then you need to go for a lie down.

Absolutely abysmal performance from Liverpool! 2-0? It could have been much worse. Stupid of Reina to go in head-down following Perch’s foul, which inevitably resulted in a red, but Perch should be disciplined too for the feigned injury – which SHOULD have brought a second yellow. Perch rightly condemned for his conduct by the pundits, but then Reina shouldn’t have given him the opportunity. (But he must be confident of winning any appeal given the replay of the "head butt.")
Action already in from Andy Carroll today.

I reckon that Liverpool's recent league form must be just about as bad as it was at any time in the first 4-5 months of last season under Roy Hodgson. I think that if it wasn't for the fact that King Kenny is a legend at Anfield from his playing days and his previous reign as manager, he'd be getting pilloried big time at the moment from fans and pundits alike.
Spurs don't seem to be helping themselves either, the way things are going they could find themselves in 6th place if there not careful.
Phew, I was beginning to wonder there, a draw would have done us no favours at all.
3-1 is a better result, keeps us there or thereabouts
Shame really though, about Adebayor, I wonder what his goal to shots ratio is.
Next season we have to find another good goal scorer or 2 to replace him.
I wouldn't be confident. There wasn't any contact but there was certainly intent and that is enough to draw the red card. And in any case you can't get it withdrawn unless it isn't even worth a yellow or it's a case of mistaken identity. It was certainly worth a yellow and because the red card has already been given it will stand.

So that should carry over to Andy Carroll's pathetic dive then, too? (actually as dives go it wasn't half bad! )
Ever since I bit (again) at BritBobs post a month or so ago, everything has gone tits up. At least back then when we lost to Arsenal, we had played extremely well. Now the confidence is gone, the desire is gone. Awful, insepid performance against Wigan followed by a positive start today drained immediately as soon as the barcodes scored.
The FA should take action in these cases and purge the game of these cheats, particularly when such a nasty and needless foul is committed in such a manner as to provoke a reaction that results in a red.
I agree. It really is time that the footballing authorities, not just here in the UK but right around the world, really started coming down hard on playacting and cheating during games. IMO the decline really began one Sunday evening in Rome in July 1990 with the antics of a certain German player in the World Cup Final and it's now reached a point where the game is full of it. Well IMO it's gone on long enough- it's time to show those who feign injury and cheat the red card. Drogba's antics in Chelsea's Champions League 2nd leg match against Napoli the other week were an out-and-out disgrace, and if I had my way he'd get at least a year's ban from the game for that.
Rant over
I can take the defeat, but Perch's conduct is nothing less than disgraceful. The FA should take action in these cases and purge the game of these cheats, particularly when such a nasty and needless foul is committed in such a manner as to provoke a reaction that results in a red.
[/quote]YES! Of course. Andy Carroll is just one of a long list headed by Nani, Drogba, Bale, Suarez et al. If they are shown to be cheats - punish them. particularly when such a nasty and needless foul is committed in such a manner as to provoke a reaction that results in a red. No exceptions!

I agree completely that the game needs to clean itself up and get rid of these cheats Bill. But you are wrong about the head butt, Liverpool won't appeal and nor should they, the aggressive intent was there and so it doesn't matter if he connects or not.
