I recently built a website to host all the AWS i have set up around the area so i can see all the data in 1 place

http://weather-live.co.uk/

If any of you use Cumulus software and want to add your data to the page let me know,i can add it easily enough,it would be good to get more of a scatter around the UK! and also gives you a free website to see your data on

I dont mind supplying data, not sure about sharing my web server settings ? -  can you explain a little further please.

Could you not just "grab" by cumulus data file that gets uploaded ?

OK lets go for it !

I wonder if Steve ( owner of Cumulus) would consider adding your site as an auto function on cumulus ?

I'll maybe have a look over the weekend, but quite happy just leaving WD running in background, its a hassel free existence.

I am not 100% sure if Cumulus will accept 2 lots of web server details,as 2 passwords would need to be entered..

Hi guys. I have just treated myself to a simple but PC connected WS and was wondering if anyone could give me (and others) an idiot proof run through on how to upload data to the web etc.

It came with Easy Weather PC, as many of these things seem to do, but I get the impression that Cumulus may be the way to go? Or do they serve two separate puproses?

Hi Doc

sack off Easy weather and download Cumulus (free) although i suggest sending  a donation, your sttaion will worth with that.If you wish to load data to the web - you need a website building or you can add it on mine if you wish - very easy,i can talk you through it.

http://weather-live.co.uk/

If you wish to load to weatherunderground, sign up (free) and click on the 'local weather' tab then manage my personal weather stations

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=skipton&wuSelect=WEATHER

and select weather stations, here you can add yours, then enter the code it gives you ..somthing like IABERDEE55..into cumulus on the internet page, and the password you selected when you signed upto weatherunderground. It is all very easy. You cna also set it to tweet the data to twitter and link that to Facebook - again simple to do.

if you need any more info or want to add it to my page so you can see it on line give me a shout.

Good luck

Lee

Thanks Lee that is very helpful

I have created a simple little site on Weebly and will investigate uploading my data directly to there if I can. I have also now got a WS ID on Weatherunderground: ISCOTLAN74

I need to go out for a while this afternoon but will look into things later. Thanks again.

Looking at the Cumulus Internet Options there is no where to add any further web server details. Well it doesnt look like it to me

Can you not just grab the cumulus data file and use that

eg http://www.bramptonweather.co.uk/cumulus/realtime.txt

I didnt think there was

It will not work because a specific file is loaded to show the temps on the front page before clicking the sites to see more details

Thanks anyway
