On day 6 another trough approaches from the SW, leading to ESE'lies. The trough moves northwards on day 7 and by day 8 it lies over northern Scotland, with SSW'lies elsewhere. Day 9 has a low over Scotland and Northern Ireland, with SW'lies for England and Wales. To the north winds are SE'lies and to the south, SW'lies.
