Cheers rayjp and hi. Our grass is used a lot and normally would have been straw under the tall trees. Needs cutting fortnightly normally by now it's so tall when left. There will be chance to enjoy the garden soon I hope.

grass cut ruff area cleared lots of new tall nettles cut now easier to prune. yellow summer rose is in full bloom hot lips are mass. the japanese maple has red leaves on top green under the rest of the tree.

Thornless Blackberries have now been netted as turning black..Birds have got at strawberries poking beaks through the netting...

Blackberries green ready to ripen. Looking at the chestnut for July august disease hope it misses this year.

I caught a couple on mine. But my garden was laden with them a month back. Effects of the pellets must have worn off. Tatties are ok considering how crap the summer has been.

Rains washed ours out. Needed to renew couple of weeks ago. Hydrangea look good and pink now some over the road have blue .

Garden full bloom had to put more pellets down on sunflower bed. Is September the full bloom for sunflower. Please ?

Mid to late summer is the sunflower time...You can also get an Autumn mix...

They will be needing it for the flower heads and seeds growing behind.

Lovely summer plants.

Great fun to grow.

Used to have great competitions with my Dad.

A sneeky bit of miracle grow on the leaves(,foilier feeding) used to help a bit.

Basket and pots are in full bloom.Sweet peas  not as I would  like but they are being used as cut flowers every 3 days,

Lousy crop this year with sweetpeas, ourselves.

Even with a south facing garden.
Not a great summer at all.

Been a poor year in our garden really the last frost took blossom trees and soggy weather took it toll on the Lilly's and the like not that we could get out much to see them.

Garden completely over-run with self-seeded nastrurtiums. Not what I intended, but a lot of other things have succumbed to the weather (e.g. tomato blight) and the wife likes nasturtiums so they're staying.

bet they were tasty were going wild blackberry picking soon make pies. our privot hedge has grown some more cant be much more growth this year wonder when they stop. i think its mid aug when privot stop sprouting.

Do you know you can eat the Nasturtium flowers with salad,they have  a slightly spicy flavour.
