Going to bump this thread up and say that it's been a morning of convective cloud formations and showery activitiy. It became torrential at times and even had hail in the mix (I was at a friend's house on the other side of the town at that time).
The sun is out now after a mini shower has just rattled through, but there are still quite a lot of convective happenings around me (dark and brilliant white congestus and some glaciated tops).

This morning's showery stuff has given us 4.1 mm, but due to the localised nature of it all, I suspect some areas around the town may have more.

Predicting the weather is like making love to a beautiful woman - if you don't keep on top of things, or come up short, you might encounter hostile conditions later.
