Thanks Steve!

I really benefitted from the Christmas week as well - not as much as Roonie, but it certainly helped to leave WMB and Force Eleven in the dust when they had been competing before. There may well have been a similarly emphatic victory by Force Eleven back in the early days; unfortunately Funtrivia has removed all the history from the quiz in 2006, 2007, and most of 2008.

I was 123 points ahead after the 29th, but then had a bad couple of days to end the month, and Roonie reduced my lead quite significantly. I was hoping to finish over 100 points ahead, but was pleased to exceed 600 points for the first time, and reach 620 points which represents an average of exactly 20 points per day.

There's no way I'm going to do as well this month; I benefitted in December from both of my two favourite rounds (Geography and Music) appearing. In January I only have Music, although there are 5 rounds of it.

Thanks for the badge, which I have added as you can see!

Congrats to all and many thanks to Steve for bringing us the quiz!

Today's was hard. I messed up on some that I should have known and correctly guessed ones I didn't!

Straight off the back of 12 hours of revision, the brain is obviously fired up today.

Well that was rather easy, even for me and my time wasn't bad either.

Must have been too easy

It took me till around Q3 yesterday to realise it was a 'fastest finger' day. Doubt I'd have challenged Muppet's time anyway, but it demonstrates the peril of the first week of a new month's new topics.

I hate the animals quiz. I know next to nothing about them, barring which are tastiest to eat and how to cook them.

Goodness me another 10, my usual slow time, but not bad.

Yay!  Did it in 77 seconds today.  Margaret Thatcher let me down, so I only got nine correct!

You and millions of others.

PS - I'm sick of getting the same bloody Hectors House question wrong. That's at least the third time I have (last time was a few months ago), and I can never remember the correct answer
