Come on Bayern!

I don't understand the reaction.  His punishment is to be prevented from playing in the Final and perhaps lose his last chance of doing so.  Why would anyone deprive him, as club captain, of the chance to share in the victory - to which he contributed through the entire campaign bar 48 minutes in the Nou Camp?

I'm not going to lie Gandalf, but I suspect you know the answer to that. He is a vile tosser of a human being and I'd happily watch a live feed of him sobbing his eyes out in the dressing room/stands whilst his team-mates celebrate winning the Champions league. Sorry if you find that disappointing but I cannot stand the bloke.

Yes, I am aware of the dislike of the man.  What I struggle with are the double standards. If we're going to condemn players for their behaviour and way of life then there is quite a long list, don't you think?

Whatever happened to 'forgive and forget' I wonder?   If you found yourself in a similar situation I would think you would wish for and expect sympathy and understanding, would you not?

Yes, but that is irrelevant because I'm not going to be in a similar situation.

I should hope not!

Hypothetically?   Or would you prefer not to go there?

I forgave the first time when he was shouting his mouth off in front of a nuch of American tourists the day after Diana died. I forgave him for him and 3 mates beating the crap out of a bouncer who had dared to refuse him entry, I forgave him for the next and then the next and then the next, but after a while you stop, or I do at least.

Yes the list is quite long, although few are quite as bad as Tosser Terry and as far as him being club captain, that's Chelsea's stupidity rather than a reflection on the chap himself. I would like nothing more than Roman finally getting some morals and telling JT that he won't even be getting a ticket and that he will be watching from home.

And of course the plastics are going to win this. They've relied on luck for much of the season why should it be any different tonight.?

Yes. The luck seems to be with chelsea. Simply defend and defend and then sneak a goal. worked against barca

Fantastic performance by the Chavs. And I'm not referring to their quality either.

What on earth have Chelsea stepped in? They were absolute crap and battered from start to finish in two legs against Barca, yet got through, and they've been rubbish all night tonight yet are still in it. Barca and Bryan missing chance after chance after chance after clear cut chance, and that's before we start talking about missed penalties. Come on Bryan!

Well if this goes to penalties Germany always win right? I'm willing to bet it won't tonight.

Nauer a far better goalkeeper than Cech. It will count for diddly sh*t though.

Congrats to Chelsea. Worst side to ever lift the CL trophy? An extraordinary run of luck. Funny to see the Germans bottle a pen shootout mind.

It is days like this when one almost loses faith in football.

Wow what a tense finale! Credit to Chelsea for nullifying Bayern, and coming back in the shootout. I've turned it off now before I see Terry lifting the trophy, however I'm genuinely pleased for Di Matteo, his reaction when that pen went in :)

Must be the first time ever that a German side, be it a club or the national team, has lost a shoot-out. Guess it's a small payback for Italia '90 and Euro '96.

I may be wrong here, but didn't Liverpool once win the old European Cup by beating their opponents in their own stadium in the final? (think it was Roma in the Stadio Olympico in 1984).

Indeed David. Watched that on ESPN classic today actually (on penalties too the famous grobbelar wobble)

Chelsea should have been destroyed tonight. The most lucky winners in a while if u ask me.
