Hard luck Man United ... if only they hadn't dropped two points at Anfield.....If only......
As reported by the Beeb. I am well and truly pi$$ed off.
GOALWest Brom 0-1 Arsenal - Yossi Benayoun (4 mins)
Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear - a howler from Albion keeper Marton Fulop. He tries to usher a ball into his area to pick it up but stumbles like a drunk hailing a cab and allows Yossi Benayoun a tap-in. Nightmare start for Roy Hodgson's lads.
GOALWest Brom 2-2 Arsenal - Andre Santos (30 mins)
West Brom keeper Marton Fulop has not covered himself in glory here either to be honest as Andre Santos takes aim from 25 yards and the ball flies through the keeper at his near post. Arsenal back in the hunt for third.
GOALWest Brom 2-3 Arsenal - Laurent Koscielny (54 mins)
West Brom goalkeeper Marton Fulop completes a hat-trick of nightmares as he punches a corner straight to Laurent Koscielny, who pokes in from three yards. Hideous error.
Some stats from the Etihad:
44 Shots to 3 in Man City's Favour
15 on target compared to 3
19 corners to 0
4 fouls to 7
0 yellows to 1
0 Reds to 1
81% Posession to Man City compared to QPR'S 19%
Quite amazing
Talking of stats, here are Stewart Downing's.
Stewart Downing
Cost £20m Played 36 Goals 0 Assists 0
Me too
However Spurs should have been out of sight in third, losing to QPR and Norwich at home for instance doesn't help.
Quite. And there are Spurs fans still grateful for finishing fourth. It should have been third and sewn up weeks ago.
What a pleasure seeing Rooney look so sad when the Sunderland fans cheered!!
Barton, what a horrible c**t, should never be allowed to earn such good money let alone play football. If he wasn't a "footballer" he would likely be served up yet another sentence. The likes of him, Terry, Savage, horrible little sh**s.
Well now the close season has started, what players are Spurs going to lose or gain, somehow I feel that the Modric/Bale thing may reappear.
this is so much like 1995 all over again
The West Ham keep Miklosko making a string of saves vs United
and Liverpool beating Blackburn - Kenny not sure whether he had won the title
But to win the title with 2 goals in injury time - the 93rd minute of the last game - this will go down as the greatest title win ever in this country - for sheer drama in the manner achieved
I cant ever imagine we will ever see a Premier League title won like that ever again
Looks like the blue moon have hit the red devils with their version of the Nou Camp (United v Bayern Muinch) in the champions league in 1999 !

What a great ending to the season. Good to see Man Utd on the recieving end of their own Munich moment.

I'm a Manchester lad born and bred, if quite old . My mates at School mostly supported United, except Paul Hart that is, so I have a slight leaning in that direction (more into cricket myself). Delighted to see another title come to Manchester though (both clubs 19 points clear of their rivals). Maximum diplomacy at work tomorrow
A fantastic end to the season, Man City deservedly getting the title.
One thing I would say about the Barton incident, whilst I don't condone it, the only thing he did wrong in my eyes was not hit him hard enough.
I do fear for Liverpool, out of loyalty they will give King Kenny another year and as a result I can see another 2 or 3 teams moving ahead of them. I would not at all be surprised to see Liverpool finish in the bottom half next season if Kenny stays
And here's the DVD.
As the Citeh fans were singing after the game:
We won the League, In Fergie time
So it's the next day and I'm still having surges of pain. If we'd have pulled it off it would have felt as good as John Terry hitting the post in Moscow.
ugh, So close to as high as you can go only to come crashing down. nothing can describe how bad that felt yesterday. I wish they'd battered QPR from the start.
I've been so wrapped up in the title race I'd barely glanced at the rest of the table, I still can't believe City and United are 19 points clear of Arsenal. I think United will keep pace with City next season and be there or there abouts, I'm more concerned about the rest of the league, I can't see them catching up with City or United at the moment.
So you won the league for City???? Nothing to do with a 1-0 defeat at City? a 6-1 defeat at home to city or a 1-0 defeat away to Wigan....... It was Liverpool that won the league. Did you not take 2 points of city as well?I think it matters a great deal Liverpool outspent Everton 5-1 and yet finished below Everton. Liverpool Where closer to Wolves than United and City....... If your taking comfort in the fact that Manchester City won the title and Manchester United came second only on goal difference (down to a 6-1 defeat) then that sums up the aims of the average Liverpool fan over recent seasons. PS Manchester City followed by United will be favourites for the league next season. Liverpool won't make the top 6 again!Long live Kenny!
