Mostly cloudy here in south Notts today so very limited convection giving only light showers (so far)

Despite all this talk of convergence on NetWeather, just general rain today.

Excellent Squally showers this morning

Virtually raining like stair rods at one particular point, was very impressive.

Rain seemingly so thick that I stopped driving for awhile, afterwards I encountered localised flash flooding.

Were you blocking a drain or something?

Very heavy downpour in York this afternoon, no electrical activity though. Just crudvection around now, but the rainfall totals continue to climb...

Morning convection fans! Already a line of showers across c southern England, something meaty to the west of Guildford, plenty more coming up from the channel! Heavier stuff over south Wales into the Midlands.

Ok, it's a fair cop, my grammatical sentence has gone to pieces

Had a prolonged shower of almost biblical proportions between 8.30 and 9.15 this morning.

My gauge at home collected 8mm in this event alone - remarkable for a shower.
Now over 100mm for April and counting.

A succession of heavy downpours between 0500 & 0900z in Alton this morning.  A new line appears to be developing a bit further north now from Poole to Basingstoke

Similar here his morning. A conveyor belt of heavy showers has developed from shortly after 9 this morning from Exeter through Taunton, Glastonbury, Bath and on NE towards N Swindon. Some torrential downpours one after another in this zone while places not too far NW and SE remain dry and bright. It looks like Radstock is right in the middle of the zone.
