Hadley is still not updating so in the meantime Netweather have the CET at 6.94°C, 0.64°C above average

Now that March weather is shaping up (or at least the first half is), I see I'm at the wrong end of the table again

Just wondering, when was the last year in which the warmest February daily CET was higher than the warmest March daily CET?

With February 23rd being exceptionally mild, there must be a chance of that happening this year.

I'm even thinking my 7c is too low.  Judging by the output, we'll be in summer by the end of the week!

March starts off way above average looks like it will stay that way as well.

After the latest reports I have just seen - beginning to think that my forecast - guess of 7C will be too low.

I'd never be suprised if it ended up close to 9C now.

Anyway who cares - the milder the better as far as I am concerned.

A very mild week next week should see the CET rocketing and given we are already running roughly 1c above average we could be nearer 8.5-9c by the time this mild spell finishes next weekend.

Once again for the 7th month running i look to have guessed too low.

Its mentioned in todays Tele - that its expected this mild spell will run for a month and include the Easter Weekend.

I told you to start worrying when I went for 7c as well!

Anyway, I'm with you I think we'll get nearer to 9c and the milder the better for me too!   Looks like we won't be having that celebratory drink, but it'll be nice to sit out with a drink in the evenings!

Well you never know but a March CET of over 9C has only been done twice before (1938 and 1957) so we are in records territory with that
