Should see at least a covering in the western midlands i would think

If lucky a lot more - and the way i see it is that the mild air is going to be very hard pushed to win the battle - so if we dont get much on sunday more opportunities in feb i hope - as long as that scandy high stays in place

The only downside is that the snow is progged to arrive in the early hours of sunday morning - when we are all in bed !

It would be good to see the start of the event in daytime

looks like my part of the country could get a reasonable fall from this which lasts a bit longer on the ground

Dont like the look of next week though - with a tropical maritime returning airmass over us - with no ridging to Greenland - I would expect next week to be mild grey and damp from that chart - very boring !

Looks like as we are now in mid Feb - that could be it for snow chances this winter.....but lets hope we get a repeat of early March 1995 again which brought a decent snow event to many areas - there is still hope for snow fans after Friday even though the chances are remote
