As far as the review, I think you are probably correct that they are only looking at the presentation. It was the author of the WUWT article that interpreted it as meaning they were going to review the adjustments.

Excellent news that the CET is now officially published.  Life without CET updates was proving tough

It's great news that the official CET is back and running, happy that my worries were unfounded.

Also chuffed that for the first and probably last time I'm sharing the top of the table.

So I was not too far out with my estimation then in the end. 3.95C it is. A downwards adjustment of 0.50C from the provisional figure. Not unprecedented as I have seen similar adjustments before.


Here are the updated and final tables and charts for January and also a look at winter so far. We are slightly above average. Too early if it stays that way. All eyes on whether we get a further cold plunge in the second half of February.
