35.4mm here for July - 101% of average for the first 20 days.


Of greater note the summer total has already exceeded the whole season average with 167.8mm against an average of 163.2mm for the whole three months.


So a 10th wetter than average summer in 11 years is now assured. Just 28mm needed to ensure it becomes the 9th out of 11 to have at least 120% of average and there is zero chance of that not happening

What's the betting that I'll end up with trace amounts (or 0.3 mm) by the end of the day thanks to the Folkestone Rain Deflector? Nonetheless while is is still being dry, bright and fairly warm, I've just given my front garden the once over as it may be a while before the weather become decent enough for it again.
