Edit: And Shetland too. Scatsa saw 22C and Lerwick a foggy 13C ....

0.6c cooler than yesterday, reached 26.2c. Got a funny feeling these storms may not be that severe tomorrow, as they are due hit here early morning according to the beeb and met office.

A max of 25.4 C here - similar to yesterday. Currently 25 C @ 51% RH. SE winds blowing in from the adjacent mere and countryside mean the max here is a degree or two down compared to winds blowing in from a built up area.

Still 26 C at 1930 here. Very unusual. I think Edinburgh reached 28 C today because the sea breeze never arrived, we had a light southerly or none at all. Tonight it is dead calm and so humid.

27C here in the green, 28C in the smoke. Lovely breeze. Strong sun. Perfect summer day. Nothing that unusual gor this corner, but lovely! Not too hot.

Great to see it so widely shared. Unusual to see such similar temperatures hit so far up the country.

26.2C was the max here outdoors. Slightly too warm for my liking - prefer it low 20's.

Feeling increasingly muggy now indoors after two hot days with a lot of sun baking the house. 22C in the living room, must be even warmer upstairs but currently haven't got a thermometer up there.

Maxed at 27.3C today and 28.8C yesterday otherwise I am very pleased to see a nationwide heatwave is happening this time than just the SE so it good for all areas to join the much needed heat!  I was hoping to see 30C in Scotland today but didn't reach that figure yet.

26 May 2017 21:32:26

Today's hotspot was Lossiemouth with 29.4C. Just 1.5C below the all time Scotland record for May

Porthmadog reached 28.9C which is just 0.3C below the all time Welsh record for May

England was only third in the country rankings today with 28.6C at Blackpool AP the highest figure.

A good number of amateur stations over Scotland (of all places) did record 30 C last week  but those are unofficial stations and so in the eyes of the mighty Met Office, I guess the answer would be "no".
