Dull, slightly moist and on the murky side, thus all making the current 9.6 C & 90% humidity feel damp and clammy. At least winds appears to have fallen light, though.

Hi, Ian! Cloudy here but just about staying dry atm - just some recent slight rain that hardly wet the ground. Winds are moderate to fresh SSW and temp. at 9.2 C, pressure @ 996mb falling quickly. We''ll see if the next batch of rain heading this way will make it over the Welsh mountains

Hi John! From a fairly bright & dry Folkestone where the watery sun is trying its best to warm up my famed west-facing hobby room. It's still a Sunday roast dinner type of day anyway . . . that if I can be bothered to do the roast.

Thanks to Storm Ewan, it is absolutely blowing a gale here and raining, although it is fairly mild at 10C with the wind from the SW. Of course, I know that Chunky P. likes winter storms and it was the Irish Met Service in that very part of the world where he comes from, which has given this latest storm system its name (finally, something which we can't actually blame the UK Met Office for). Of course, I've seen even worse storms than that here, but it still surprises me that no-one else on this site appears to have brought up the subject of Storm Ewan so far, as I write. In general, today has brought some sunny weather st time, but it has been the rain and the wind which has dominated today's events here.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Remaining dry here - just back from a fairly bracing walk in the keen breeze - doesn't feel like 10 C out there! I'm on Sunday roast dinner duty and not being bothered isn't an option in my case ... unless I want the wrath of the missus
