Absolutely stunning shots. The depth of snow in some of those fields looks impressive. But what really hooks me is that wan, low, diffuse sun- a truly winter icon.

Thanks guys. I was surprised at the amount of snow that fell on Thursday courtesy of Doris. The Pentland National Park is only 15 mins drive south of me and altitude is between 150-570m. Snow depth was generally 4-8 inches but drifts were up to 2 feet deep above 300m!
Last night's fronts provided that atmospheric milky sky later in the afternoon

An excellent round of snow-related photos. As a home carer also having to stick close to home, it seems that the only way I get to experience snow at this end these days is via other people's photos.
