15C in Rhyl at 8am this morning.

That's my impression of the winter so far. Plenty of sunshine in my neck of the woods overall, especially in January. Although I imagine February has been somewhat less sunny.

Ooh Ooh, wait. The sun is breaking through here at this end and can see the airflow is in from the north west (that should steer the frigid sea air and mist away from us). Perhaps there is some hope.

Currently 12.3 C.

Nearly 14°C here. It actually feels warm at the moment, despite mostly cloudy skies.

It looks like just over 15°C is going to be the high for me. A lot of cloud looks to be piling in from the west now. Still it was much better than the BBC and Met Office's forecasts, and still an excellent temperature for February!

Some 16s and 17s already reached over the south east. Seems that the sun is staying out for long enough to give those mild temperatures a bit of a boost. I think the solar max is about 2 pm at this time of the year.

Only 12.5 C here at Folkestone, even with some sunshine.

After a dull start, it's great to see the sunshine arrive here by late morning, albeit with some high cloud about. Feels great! 15C

EDIT: Spoke too soon, it's clouded over again. But nice to have a sunny lunch break!

We got to 16.3C shortly after midday- but then the cloud filled in & we even had some super fine drizzlets. Still 15.5 now- feels great outside despite the mischief in the wind.

It's actually shot up to 15 C here on the Kent coast. The sensor is well in the shade and the sun is even hiding cloud with a bit of a breeze. It's like a "plume" of warm air.

A shame it's not being accompanied with unbroken sun from dawn to dusk, some Feb records cold have easily been beaten.

I think that's your lot now. Clouding over in the South East. Pretty impressive temperatures though.

Temperature now rising quickly again- the sun feels surprisingly warm despite its low angle and the frisky breeze. 16.4C now. Back outside in my T shirt; on with the planting.
